PNG Travel Information

Passport/Visa

You must have a valid passport and visa.  Tourist visas can also be obtained from Port Moresby’s Jacksons Airport upon arrival.  Your passport must be valid over 3 months from your departure date from Papua New Guinea

Insurance

It is highly recommended that you take out cancellation and travel insurance from the time you pay your deposit.  You must also obtain medical insurance to cover for any unforeseen medical bills.  If you have a medical condition, please let us know and fax us a copy of a medical report clearing you fit for travel

Immigration/Customs

You will be subject to customs and immigration checks upon your arrival at Jacksons Airport in Port Moresby and make sure you do not pack any prohibited imports or substances

Luggage/Baggage

It is recommended that you pack only 1 large suitcase or travel pack with all necessary items and 1 carry bag.  Travel to remote destinations will be by small, light aircraft with limited cargo holding areas.  You are advised to also tag your baggage with your name and addresses clearly marked

Tipping

Tipping is not encouraged

Water bottle, insect repellent, first aid kit, wide brimmed hat, walking shoes, binoculars, camera/film, enthusiasm/interest, an open mind and a smile on your face
