Ramu River 

The Mighty Ramu River runs along the whole length of Madang Province providing a home and livelihood for many thousands of village people

Famous for the wood carving skills of its people, the Ramu Valley embraces many different cultures and types of people. Equally important too is the Ramu Valley’s prolific bird and wildlife

The Lower Ramu is accessible at Bonapas where canoes can be hired for trips up and down the river. Bonapas being reached after a few hours drive from Bogia

The Ramu People are prolific carvers and the Lower Ramu has cultural links with images of the enthuse ally diverse Sepik River region
